The Blackhawk's Bobby Hull brings home Hart Memorial honors as league MVP, while Montreal's Jean Beliveau wins the first ever Conn Smythe Trophy for MVP of the playoffs. Stan Mikita is the league's top scorer with with 87 points (28 goals, 59 assists). 40 year old Johnny Bower (2.38 gaa) and Terry Sawchuk (2.56 gaa) of Toronto are the best goalie tandem in the league and receive the Vezina Trophy.
