The Leaf's squad features exceptional balance across all lines and superior goaltending by Johnny Bower. Frank Mahovlich, Red Kelly and Dave Keon are among the stars of this bunch.
Chicago's Bobby Hull and New York's Andy Bathgate tie as the league's top point scorers (80). Hull is the leading goal scorer (50). Montreal's Jacque Plante (42-14-14, 2.37 GAA) wins both the Vezina Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy as the league's best goalie and MVP. The Ranger's Doug Harvey, acquired in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens, wins the James Norris Trophy as the top defenseman.
