ICE NUTZ NHL 1967-68 SEASON TEAM CARDS
In this 51st season of the NHL, the league expands from the "Original Six" teams by adding six new franchises, including the St. Louis Blues, Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Oakland Seals, and the Los Angeles Kings. The original six play in the East Division, while the newcomers play in the West. The Montreal Canadiens rip through the playoffs and defeat St. Louis, 4 games to 0, in the finals to win their 15th Stanley Cup. Chicago's Stan Mikita (40 goals, 47 assists) wins the Hart Memorial Trophy as league MVP, while his teammate Bobby Hull is the top goal scorer with 44. Phil Esposito of the Boston Bruins leads the league with 49 assists. Montreal's net minders Gump Worsley (1.98 gaa) and Rogie Vachon (2.48 gaa) win the Vezina.
