Imagine what might happen if the ridiculously talented 1983-84 Edmonton Oilers offensive juggernaut laced it up against the savagely intimidating 1973-74 Philadelphia Flyers, also known as "The Broad Street Bullies". Now these and other fantastic matchups can become reality with ICE NUTZ "HISTORIC TEAMS COLLECTION". Pit them against each other, or see how they matchup against current players. Each HISTORIC TEAMS SET features twelve of the greatest hockey teams of all time...

2006-07 ANAHEIM DUCKS: A talented and physical group with great goaltending. Teemu Selanne leads the team with 48 goals and 94 total points.

 

 

1969-70 BOSTON BRUINS: Phil Esposito (43 goals) and Bobby Orr (87 assists) are the leaders on one of the greatest teams in NHL history.

 

 

1988-89 CALGARY FLAMES: An exceptionaly deep team with great defense. Joe Mullen has 51 goals and 110 points.

 

 

2000-01 COLORADO AVALANCHE: Joe Sakic leads this talented group with 118 points. Patrick Roy is brilliant during their Cup run.

 

 

1995-96 DETROIT RED WINGS: The greatest team to never win the cup. A 62-13-7 record breaking regular season only leads to a major playoff let down.

 

1983-84 EDMONTON OILERS: Gretzky produces video game-like stats (87 goals + 118 assists = 205 total points!). The Oilers are a dominating offensive force of nature.

1991-92 PITTSBURGH PENGUINS: A sleepy regular season leads to a 4th place Wales Conference finish, but the giant wakes up big time in the playoffs. Lemieux has 87 assists and 131 points. Goalie Tom Barrasso proves his worth in the post-season.

 

 

1962-63 TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS: A deep and balanced team. Frank Mahovlich has 36 goals. Red Kelly adds 40 assists. Near-sighted Johnny Bower and Don Simmons prove to be an exceptional goalie tandem.   

 

You will receive 12 un-cut TEAM CARDS. Each team features 15 skaters (3 suggested lines) and 2 Goaltenders. Also included is an ADDITIONAL PLAYERS ROSTER SHEET featuring 5 additional skaters from each of the 12 teams to be used for substitutions and/or a 4th line. A total of 264 players, each with specific offensive and defensive ability ratings. On the back of each card is a Team Summary featuring season stats, information, leaders and award winners.
