ICE NUTZ NHL 1966-67 "ORIGINAL SIX" SEASON TEAM CARDS (6 Teams)
In this 50th season of the NHL, the underdog Toronto Maple Leafs (75 pts) catch fire in the playoffs and upset Chicago (94) and Montreal (77) 4 to 2 in the semi-finals, and finals respectively to win their 13th Stanley Cup. It is the Leaf's last championship to date. This season marks the last of the "Original Six" teams, as the league will expand to 12 teams the very next year. Chicago's Stan Mikita (35 goals 62 assists) claims Hart Memorial honors as league MVP and also wins the Art Ross trophy as top point scorer. Dennis DeJordy and Glenn Hall, also of Chicago, win Vezina honors as the best goalie tandem of the season, while Blackhawk's Bobby Hull leads the league in goals scored with 52. Despite all the accolades, the Hawk's cannot get past the Maple Leafs in the playoffs. Bruin's legend Bobby Orr wins the Calder Memorial trophy as rookie of the year.
