Imagine if the 1987-88 Edmonton Oilers laced it up against the 2009-10 Chicago Blackhawks in an epic dynasty series. Each HISTORIC TEAMS SET features twelve of the greatest hockey teams of all time...

 

 

SET 2:

 

 

1940-41 BOSTON BRUINS: The Bruins sweep the Red Wings in the finals and win their third Stanley Cup. Bill Cowley wins the Hart Memorial Trophy with 45 assists and 17 goals in only 48 games.

 

2009-10 CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS: Chicago wins it's first Cup since 1961 and a dynasty is born. Jonathan Toews wins the Conn Smythe and Duncan Keith brings home the James Norris Memorial Trophy. Patrick Kane leads the team with 88 points.

 

1995-96 COLORADO AVALANCHE: Joe Sakic (120 points) and Peter Forsberg (116) lead this talented and physical squad. The Avalance win a championship in their first season in Denver.

 

1998-99 DALLAS STARS: Ed Belfour (1.99 GAA) and Roman Turek (2.08 GAA) win William M. Jennings honors and the Stars win their first Stanley Cup on a historic, controversial game six overtime goal versus Buffalo.

 

1954-55 DETROIT RED WINGS: Eric Reibel, Ted Lindsay and the great Gordie Howe lead the Wings to a game seven championship victory over Montreal. Detroit will not win another Stanley Cup for 42 years. Terry Sawchuk (1.96 GAA, 12 SO) wins the Vezina. 

 

1987-88 EDMONTON OILERS: The Oilers win their fourth championship in five years. Gretzky sits out 16 games with a knee injury, but still manages to produce 149 points (40 goals, 109 assists). It is the Great One's last season in Edmonton. Grant Fuhr brings home Vezina trophy honors.

 

1977-78 MONTREAL CANADIENS: Montreal wins a third straight Cup and the 21st in franchise history. Guy Lafleur (132 points) wins both the Hart Memorial and Art Ross trophies. Ken Dryden and Michel LaRocque bring home Vezina honors. 

 

1999-00 NEW JERSEY DEVILS: The Devils win their second Stanley Cup with a thrilling Game Six double overtime victory over Dallas. Martin Brodeur is at the top of his game in the second season posting a 1.61 GAA and 92.7 Save % in the playoffs.  

 

1982-83 NEW YORK ISLANDERS: Billy Smith wins Conn Smythe honors and leads the Islanders to a 4-0 sweep over Edmonton in the finals. Mike Bossy (118 points) brings home the Lady Bing trophy.

 

1926-27 OTTAWA SENATORS: Ottawa wins its fourth Cup in seven years. The team includes seven hall of famers including Georges Boucher and King Clancy who lead a physically defensive-minded group. Goaltender Alec Connell posts a 1.49 GAA. 

 

1984-85 PHILADELPHIA FLYERS: One of the greatest teams of all time. Unfortunately they had to face what may be THE greatest team of all time in the finals...the Edmonton Oilers. 

 

2008-09 PITTSBURGH PENGUINS: A coaching change in February provides the catalyst for an impressive Stanley Cup run. Sid "The Kid" Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are brilliant with 103 and 113 points respectively. Malkin wins both the Art Ross and Conn Smythe.

 

You will receive 12 un-cut TEAM CARDS. Each team features 15 skaters (3 suggested lines) and up to 2 Goaltenders. Also included is an ADDITIONAL PLAYERS ROSTER SHEET featuring up to 5 additional skaters from each of the 12 teams to be used for substitutions and/or a 4th line. Over 250 players, each with specific offensive and defensive ability ratings. On the back of each card is a Team Summary featuring season stats, information, leaders and award winners.
