THE 1973 SEASON:
The Miami Dolphins (12-2) repeat as Super Bowl champions with a decisive 24-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings (12-2). Although the Fins do not finish the season undefeated like 72', some experts argue the 73' edition is an even better team. O.J. Simpson of the Buffalo Bills is the first running back to eclipse 2000 rushing yards in a single season. Simpson's 2003 yards in 14 games earn him league MVP honors. Veteran gun slinger Roman Gabriel, now with the Philadelphia eagles, leads the league with 3219 passing yards, and his favorite target Harold Carmichael tops all receivers with 1119. Chuck Foreman, Minnesota's all-purpose phenom, is named rookie of the year with 801 rushing, and 362 receiving yards. Miami safety Dick Anderson wins defensive player of the year honors with his league leading 8 interceptions.

Rams (12-2) Ground Chuck! The Rams run the ball...alot, but pass well too. Hadl is All-Pro; Cowboys (10-4) Captain America Roger Staubach is incredible. How does he not make the pro bowl?!; Redskins (10-4) This veteran group is a handful for teams all season, but did age finally catch up with them in the end?
