Set II: 

 

1986-87 Atlanta Hawks: Superstar Dominque Wilkins leads the Hawks to a Central Division Championship and second seed in the Eastern Conference.

 

1983-84 Boston Celtics: Boston wins 62 games and a 15th NBA Championship. Larry Bird wins league and finals MVP honors. Kevin McHale wins the NBA sixth man of the year award.

 

1995-96 Chicago Bulls: Arguably the greatest team of all time, the NBA champs win 72 regular season games and roll through the Eastern Conference playoffs. Michael Jordan is league and finals MVP. Phil Jackson wins NBA coach of the year. 

 

2002-03 Dallas Mavericks: Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash lead this offensive juggernaut all the way to the Western Conference finals. Nowitzki is lost to injury in Game 3 and so are the Mav's chances at a championship. 

 

1989-90 Detroit Pistons: The "Bad Boys" are back to back and better than ever. Dennis Rodman is named NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Isiah Thomas wins finals MVP honors. 

 

1997-98 Indiana Pacers: First year coach Larry Bird leads the Pacers all the way to the Eastern Conference finals where they take the Bulls to the brink. Reggie Miller is a star. Bird wins Coach of the Year honors.

 

1974-75 Kentucky Colonels: Artis Gilmore sets a record by playing a whopping 3,493 minutes! Gilmore, Dan Issel and Louie Dampier lead the Colonels to their first ABA title. Gilmore is named finals MVP. The ABA is beating the NBA consistently in exhibition games. 

 
 

1999-00 Los Angeles Lakers: The Lakers win 67 games and a 12th championship behind Shaq & Kobe. O'Neal is named finals and league MVP. Bryant at age 21 is emerging as a superstar. It's the first of three consecutive titles in the Shaq/Kobe era. 

 

2005-06 Miami Heat: Shaq's at it again. Miami wins it's first NBA title. Dwayne Wade is named finals MVP and Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year. 

 

1975-76 New York Nets: Superstar Julius Erving, AKA "Dr. J.", leads the Nets to their second championship in the last season of the ABA. Erving is named finals MVP.

 

1998-99 San Antonio Spurs: "The Admiral" David Robinson wins his first NBA title. Rookie Tim Duncan is outstanding and wins MVP honors in the finals. 

 

1995-96 Seattle Supersonics: If it weren't for the 95'-96' Bulls, we may be talking about this team as the greatest of all time. Be that as it may, the Sonics took Chicago to six games in the finals. Gary Payton is NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
