NBA 1969-70 SEASON CARD SET

Long before the three-point shot, the 1969-70 season still remains one of the highest scoring of all-time with teams averaging 116.7 points per game. The New York Knicks (60-22), led by MVP center Willis Reed and rising guard Walt Frazier, defeat Wilt Chamberlain and the L.A. Lakers (46-36) in six games to win their first NBA Championship.

EAST DIVISION:

Milwaukee (54-28) Rookie of the year Lew Alcindor anchors a Bucks squad that wins 54 games in only it's second season in existence.

Baltimore (50-32) Center Wes Unseld and guard Earl "The Pearl" Monroe lead one of the best scoring offenses in the league. The Bullets take the Knicks to seven games in the division semi-finals.

Philadelphia (42-40) The Sixers average a whopping 121.9 ppg in the regular season, but Billy Cunningham and the gang run out of gas in the playoffs losing in five games to the Bucks.

WEST DIVISION:

Atlanta (48-34) The Hawks fly high to the Division Finals, but a 0-4 sweep by the Lakers sends them back to their nest.
