THE 2020-21 SEASON:

After 20 years and 6 Super Bowl victories with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady at age 43 heads south to Tampa and captures yet another Lombardi trophy with a loaded Buccaneers squad. The Buc's rout the favored Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 to earn their second championship in franchise history and first since 2002. The Green Bay Packers, led by league MVP Aaron Rodgers, take Tom and Tampa to the brink, but ultimately fall short on their home turf in the NFC championship. The Pittsburgh Steelers start the season a perfect 11-0 only to limp into the playoffs where they are embarassed at home by their resurgent division rival the Cleveland Browns. It is the Browns first playoff win since 1995.

The playoff field is expanded from 6 to 7 teams in each conference:

AFC

1. Kansas City (14-2) Mahomes and company are unable to repeat, but remain a juggernaut.

2. Buffalo Bills (13-3) Josh Allen takes a gigantic leap forward. The Bills are the new beasts of the East.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4) An 11-0 dream start turns into a nightmare finish with a home playoff loss to the Browns.

4. Tennessee Titans (11-5) In a pass-happy league, Derrick Henry becomes only the 7th player in NFL history to rush for over 2000 yards. He finishes the season with 2027.

5. Baltimore Ravens (11-5) Lamar Jackson wins his first playoff game with a 20-13 win over the Titans.

6. Cleveland Browns (11-5) Not the same-old Browns. Baker Mayfield leads the club to it's first playoff victory in 25 years

7. Indianapolis Colts (11-5) Philip Rivers leads the Colts back to the playoffs behind one of the best O-lines in the league. Indy is a team on the rise. Rivers retires after a 22 year, hall of fame-worthy career.

NFC

1. Green Bay (13-3) Aaron Rodgers produces one of the best QB seasons of all-time, but the Pack can't get past Brady's Bucs in the conference championship.

2. New Orleans (12-4) Drew Brees' final campaign march for a second Lombardi comes up short...next stop, Canton, OH.

3. Seattle (12-4) Let Russ cook! Russell Wilson sautees defenses all season long, but ultimately it is the Rams who serve the Hawks their last meal in the playoffs.

4. Washington Football Team (7-9) I know..."champions" of the NFC Least. Say what you will, this young defense led by Chase Young is really good and only getting better.

5. Tampa Bay (11-5) Tom and his new friends keep improving week-to-week, and by season's end they are the cream of the crop.

6. Los Angeles (10-6) Aaron Donald wrecks offenses and is named Defensive Player of the Year.

7. Chicago (8-8) Da Bears are solid in most aspects...if they could just figure out that QB thing.
