Legendary Larry Bird is named league MVP for the second year in a row. The Knick's Bernard King leads all scorers with 32.9 points per game. Philly's Moses Malone tops all rebounders with 13.1 per game, while Detroit's Isiah Thomas leads the league in assists with 13.9 per game. Utah's Mark Eaton (5.6 blocks per game) is named Defensive Player of the Year. And, of course, Jordan (28.2 ppg) claims Rookie of the Year honors.
