Course Description

 

Since the late 1960s, Torrey Pines has hosted the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open, originally known as the San Diego Open. Held annually in January or February, the tournament uses both the North and South Courses for the first two rounds and the South Course exclusively for the final two rounds. The South Course has also hosted the 2008 and 2021 U.S. Opens. Playing between 7650 and 7802 yards, Torrey Pines South, is currently the longest course on the PGA tour. The course is named for the Torrey Pine, a rare tree that grows in the wild only along this local stretch of the coastline in San Diego Countyand on Santa Rosa Island.
